Object history

Anne-Geneviève de Bourbon-Condé est ici représentée sous les traits d’une abbesse au sang royal caractérisé par son manteau d’hermine. En 1663, elle se rapproche des Carmélites dont elle porte ici la capuche blanche et a œuvré dans la défense des évêques jansénistes embastillés, d’où la présence des rats à ses pieds. 3 Live École française du XVIIIe siècle.
