Statuette en ronde-bosse, en plâtre patiné à l'imitation de la terre cuite, dotée d'une base de section circulaire.

Marques, inscriptions, poinçons: Rébus - En bas section avant : autruche (entourée de valseurs).

Signature de l'exécutant - En bas section postérieure : "Dantan Je 1..8". Inscription concernant le modèle - En bas section postérieure, à l'encre : "Compositeur allemand pour les valses D.Je".

Johann Strauss joue du violon. Autruche, couple, danseur, valse ; bouquet de fleurs. Rébus. Caricature. Commentaire historique:

Le rébus de cette charge fait allusion aux deux significations du mot "Strauss" en langue allemande : bouquet et autruche.
