Summary
[edit]DescriptionPortadown train at Holywood station - 2000 (geograph 3750692).jpg |
English: Portadown train at Holywood station - 2000 The 16.05 passenger service from Bangor to Portadown enters Holywood station. As the 21st Century dawned, the railway system in Northern Ireland once again came under financial threat from Government. During 2000, many trains sported a "Save Our Railways" sticker, which is evident on the front of unit 8083. On 18 December 2000 the devolved NI Assembly approved the provision of additional funding, which allowed for track renewal and the purchase of new railcars. |
