Description

Porpidia albocaerulescens (Wulfen) Hertel & Knoph, 1984

Photograph of a spore of Porpidia albocaerulescens through a compound microscope, x1000; spore 21 x 9 microns.

The specimen of P. albocaerulescens was collected from a rock near Endless Mountain Retreat, S on County Road 601, approximately 2.4 miles from US 250, in Highland County, Virginia, USA; collected by E.C. Uebel and identified by Dean Walton (No. U-419, 8 Jun 2002).
