Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Elise and Morris Harding pose on a pinto pony at their home on Windsor Avenue, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada in 1948. Their parents owned and operated Harding Electric and wanted all the benefits for their young children. The "Pony Portrait" was very popular in the late 1940s and early 1950s. Elise grew up to become the first Black women Curator/Administrator of a museum in Canadian history. After retiring she authored several Black History books. Her brother Morris became an Electrician following in his father's footsteps.
