Summary
[edit]DescriptionPontefract Town Hall - geograph.org.uk - 232106.jpg |
English: Pontefract Town Hall. Until the Local Government reorganisation of 1974, this was Pontefract Town Hall. The ground floor window to the left of the main door was the Mayor's Parlour. When the Town ceased to have its own Borough Council and Mayor in 1974, the Town Hall became the Register Office on the ground floor and upstairs are the town Assembly Rooms, used for functions, plays, pantomimes etc. |
