DescriptionPontarddulais railway station in 2006.jpg | Pontarddulais railway station Original description: Pontarddulais Station Pontarddulais station on a cold wet Sunday afternoon. This is the second (and last) service of the day to run north eastwards on the Heart of Wales line and is the only through service of the week to Crewe. The curious platform shape is explained by the fact that originally the platform was an island platform with a junction just behind the location of the photograph. The other line would have then forked off to the left, running down through Gowerton, terminating in Swansea's Victoria Station (now also long gone). Photo taken: Sunday, 10 December, 2006 | ||
