Description
English: Lajos Pongrácz
Magyar: Pongrácz Lajos (Szentmiklósi és Óvári) cs. és kir. kamarás, Hont vármegye alispánja és író. Született Felsőtúron 1815 február 15-én. Meghalt Budapesten 1899. augusztus 10-én. 1835-ben Hont vármegye esküdtje, 1842-ben ugyane vármegye szolgabírája. 1848-ban tb. főjegyző lett, majd pénzügyminiszteriumban titkár. 1861-ben Hontban főjegyző . Esztergomban 1863-ban megalapította az »Esztergomi Ujság«-ot. 1865-ben törvényszéki ülnök, 1867-ben pedig az ipolysági járás főszolgabírája, 1872-ben ismét vármegyei főjegyző, 1881-ben pedig alispán lett.
