Description
English: László Pongrácz
Magyar: Pongrácz László (Szentmiklósi és Óvári), cs. és kir. altábornagy. Született Felsőtúron 1824. deczember 15-én. 1840-ben mind hadapród belépett az 58. számú István főherczeg nevét viselő gyalogezredbe és 1846-ban a m. kir. testőrségnél hadnagy lett. A parndorfi csata után - mielőtt a magyar sereg Schwechat alá ment - Kossuth maga nevezte ki Pongráczot századosnak. Amikor Kmetty a gróf Zichy-féle dandár parancsnokságát átvette, Pongrácz zászlóaljparancsnok lett. Meghalt Budapesten 1890. január 17-én.
