Description
Čeština: Veřejně přístupný památník s názvem: „Pomník padlých Plzeňanů v květnovém povstání 1945“ z roku 2016 se nachází na náměstí Míru v blízkosti Purkyňova pavilonu (Plzeň 3, Jižní Předměstí). Základem je světlý upravený přírodní balvan o rozměrech asi 1 x 1 metr s výškou 1,5 metru, do něhož je kolmo vetknuta kamenicky opracovaná tmavá leštěná deska s nápisem: „Památce padlých Plzeňanů v květnovém povstání 1945“. V těsné blízkosti balvanu je na úrovni okolního trávníku obdélníkový prostor vysypaný bílými kamínky. Na nich spočívá druhá tmavá leštěná deska s konkrétními jmény padlých občanů Plzně. English: The publicly accessible memorial entitled: "Monument to the Fallen Pilseners of the May Uprising 1945" from 2016 is located on the Peace Square near the Purkyň Pavilion (Plzeň 3, Jižní Předměstí). The base is a light-coloured, natural boulder measuring about 1 x 1 m and 1.5 m high, into which a stone-worked, dark, polished slab with the inscription "To the memory of the fallen Pilseners in the May Uprising 1945" is woven perpendicularly. Adjacent to the boulder, at the level of the surrounding lawn, is a rectangular space strewn with white stones. On top of these rests a second dark polished plaque with the specific names of the fallen citizens of Pilsen. Jaroslav Šindelář (* 11 June 1950, Plzeň).
