| Description |
English: Pomeroy Primary School. Located at the bottom of the village, there are several plaques on the wall. The first one reads, "Pomeroy Public Elemtary School No2". The second, "In memory of Eliz Lowry. Daughter of the late Robery Lowry Esq of Pomeroy. In grateful remembrance of her having being the foundress and supporter of the female school of this parish which she established to the honour and glory of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whom she loved and served in life, And in whom she reposed her trust in death. This school house has been enlarged as a token of love. A.D. 1867 by her niece Anna Jane Lowry, daughter of Robery William Lowry Esq JP DL" The last plaque reads, "Reconstructed by Lt Col Lowry 1816" |
