Deutsch: Informationstafel zu den Erzabfuhrwegen. Standort der Tafel: An der Wegekreuzung etwa 40 m nordwestlich vom Zechenhaus.
Der Text lautet: „Das in den Gruben gewonnene erzhaltige Gestein mußte vor dem Ausschmelzen des Metalles vom tauben, d. h. unbrauchbaren Nebengestein getrennt werden. Hierzu wurde es mit meist einachsigen Wagen zu den Pochwerken transportiert. Die eisenbeschlagenen Räder haben tiefe Rinnen hinterlassen. Der Harz ist durchzogen von Erzabfuhrwegen unterschiedlicher Größe, je nach Umfang und Länge der Nutzung. Hinter dieser Tafel liegt der Polsterthaler Erzweg, über den von den sehr erzträchtigen Gruben Dorothea und Carolina in der Nähe des Ob. und Mittl. Pfauen Teiches das Material zu den Pochwerken gekarrt wurde. Er ist rd. 140 Jahre benutzt worden und war etwa 4,5 km lang. |
