Description

A Fonte das Sereias localizada na Freguesia de Carrazeda de Ansiães é feita em em granito, tem ao centro uma coluna sobre um plinto de altura idêntica à do tanque. A coluna tem o fuste constituído por quatro sereias dispostas verticalmente, em jeito de cariátides e é rematada por um anelete, daí partindo o arranque da taça que é de contorno circular e encontra-se decorada com caneluras profundas que partem do centro de forma radiante. O perímetro é ornado com quatro mascarões com bicas, dos quais partem motivos em voluta e acanto que se entrelaçam. O conjunto é coroado por motivo cúbico que em cada face ostenta um nicho com imagem da padroeira, Santa Águeda, enquadrado por duas cruzes em alto relevo junto aos ângulos superiores. Remata o conjunto um motivo cilíndrico ornado de arcos e círculos em alto relevo, sugerindo vãos, e que foi interpretado como a figuração de um castelo.
