English: A map showing the political leanings of Texas's counties from 1968–1990.
Dark colors are considered "Heavy" counties where they won 19+/22 elections.
Light colors are "Lean" counties where they won 13-18/22 elections.
Purple counties are "Swing" where each party won 10-12/22 elections.
Sourced from the Texas Almanac's "Political History of Texas."
