W pierwszych miesiącach okupacji przez Fort VII przeszło kilka tysięcy Polaków. Co najmniej 600 z nich rozstrzelano w pobliskim lesie Barbarka. English: German internment camp in Fort VII of Toruń Fortress. Polish prisoners during the roll call. In the first months of German occupation few thousand Poles were imprisonment in Fort VII. At least 600 of them were executed in Barbarka forest.
