English: Paweł Stalmach (pl) memorial (located in front of Antoni Osuchowski High School, Cieszyn, Poland).
"Paweł Stalmach, who awakened the Silesian people, fearless fighter in the defence of the nation’s rights, a dedicated journalist, born on the 13th of August 1824 in Bażanowice, died on the 13th of November 1891 in Cieszyn. He studied in Bratislava and Vienna and at the Slavic Congress in Prague declared that Silesian folk were part of the Polish nation. After returning to Cieszyn he became the editor of the newspaper Tygodnik Cieszyński, renamed Gwiazdka Cieszyńska in 1851. He helped to set up a host of Polish organisations; Czytelnia Polska (the Polish Library), Biblioteka dla Ludu Księstwa Cieszyńskiego (the Duchy of Cieszyn People’s Library). He was active in the founding of the first Polish Elementary School." Polski: Pomnik Paweł Stalmach.
