| Description |
English: Police Stop, Dock Road (2). See picture 518061 for the preceding picture. As vehicles passed a van about a kilometre previously their registration numbers were read by automatic number plate recognition cameras and compared with a central database. If there is any doubt about the vehicle's identity, or its tax and insurance status then the vehicle will be flagged down here. Police officers then have the opportunity to discuss the query with the driver, in person. |
