| Description |
English: After seeing the Scot in Cheshire I decided to see the Scotsman head south in the afternoon. As I headed up the M6 through the Lune Gorge I noticed a full car park on the Kendal road above me and thought maybe the morning run was delayed. So after coming off the M6 at Tebay, rather than head straight to the cafe, I parked up by the church and checked what was happening. Sure enough the Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express had a delayed start from Carnforth (late running TP) and then got sidelined at Grayrigg (let a VT train through). So a chance to cross the Lune footbridge and stand in the wind and rain for a glimpse of 60103 Flying Scotsman heading up to Shap.
Can't think what made me come up with the title for this one :-) |
