[edit]
Description
English: Poland, Michel I-II; Sanabria 501-502, genuine stamps, used on two fragment with fake postmarks. 1921 set 25m orange & black, 100m blue & black semi-official issues.

Stamps issued by the Aero-Targ Company, in agreement with the Polish Ministry of Post & Telegraph. Aero-Targ stamps had to be bought for airmail in addition to the normal express postage rate, payable by usage of regular Polish stamps.

The stamps were designed by Wilhelm Rudy (initials W.R. on the stamps) and crudely lithographed. The stamps were perforated 11.25 but are also known imperforated. The 25mk value shows Icarus against Poznan and the 100mk shows a Junkers F-13 plane dropping mail over Poznan. Attached to each stamp was an advertising label, inscribed T.A.B.R.O.M.I.K., for vodka factory TAdeusz BROnislaw MIKołajczyk.

The first flights from Poznan to Gdansk and to Warsaw were on 29 May 1921. The first return flight from Warsaw to Poznan was on 31 May 1921. There were daily return flights until 16 June 1921. A special winged postmark was used from May 29 thru 16 June 1921 at the Poznan Fair Flights. Postmarks with dates after 16 June 1921 are fake.
