English: Additional text: This Action commenced in a running fight, between LA PIQUE and LA SEINE, the former was disabled by the loss of her Main Topmast, and the JASON coming up run between & received the fire of the Enemy, the Action continued when the three Ships grounded on the French Coast, near Midnight, LA SEINE still making a most exemplary defence, and did not surrender untill totally dismasted with the loss of 170 Men killed & 100 badly wounded.
