Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Plymouth Hoe from Mount Batten Showing the Hoe waterfront from Grand Parade in West Hoe on the extreme left to the Royal Plymouth Corinthian Yacht Club on the extreme right. In the centre on the waterline is the 1930's Art Deco style Tinside Lido, an unheated seawater pool only for brave souls. Behind on the grassy Hoe is the red and white striped Smeaton's Tower, once the lighthouse on the Eddystone Rock some 14 miles out to sea. To its' right is the Royal Naval War Memorial, and right again is the Royal Citadel, now home to the Royal Artillery Regiment Commando trained batteries.
