| Description |
English: Ploughed field near Torwood Castle. The identifiable course of a Roman Road leads up to the point from which this photo was taken (I was standing in a woodland clearing, just on the other side of the fence that separates the woods from this field). See 1588211 for details of the road. If extended, its course would pass through this field, roughly along the line of sight of the photo (see the map). However, as shown by the state of the field, the road cannot be followed any further in that direction. |
