Español: Del Album de Valparaiso de Felix Leblanc de 1888.
vemos el monumento a Lord Cochrane, que ocupaba primitivamente la Plaza Sotomayor, frente al edificio del Cuerpo de Bomberos, se erigió por iniciativa del Intendente Francisco Echaurren. Se inauguró el 12 de Febrero de 1873, permaneciendo en la Plaza Sotomayor por cerca de 12 años. En 1885 se traslada a su ubicación actual en la avenida Brasil y en el año 1920 se le agrega la proa de un buque y un obelisco. |
