Summary
[edit]DescriptionPlatforms 3 & 4 Connolly station - geograph.org.uk - 3245765.jpg |
English: Platforms 3 & 4 Connolly station In preparation for the DART electrification, a new Platform 3 was built on the site of the former carriage storage roads, this platform coming into use in 1981. The former Platform 3, which had been extended over the “Howth Bay”, was renumbered Platform 4. In this photograph, the vehicle at Platform 4 is a BREL/IÉ built MkIII driving brake generator standard coach, a type since withdrawn. Constructed in more recent time, a substantial full barrier now completely obstructs this view. |
