| Description |
English: Platform entrance, Wootton Station Wootton Station was opened by the Ryde & Newport Railway circa 1876. The station was closed in 1953 although the line remained open until 1966. The original station was slightly further to the west, on the other side of Station Road (behind the camera). The current one was opened by the Isle of Wight Steam Railway in 1987 and now forms the western terminus of the line.
