Plate V Fig 1 (top). Part of the right lung of a young man who died of Phthisis (tuberculosis) after an illness of fourteen months. The middle lobe of the lung has a large encysted abscess. Fig 2 (bottom) Section of the left lung showing a large encysted abscess, the inside of which is covered with red vascular granulations.
