English: Plastic aryballos in the shape of a squatting man with hands clasped together, perhaps a comic actor, a komast or silenos. Previously thought to be Corinthian, now known to be of Eastern Greek, ca. 600-550 BC. From the sanctuary of Aphrodite in Naukratis, Egypt (?).
Français : Aryballe plastique en forme d'homme accroupi, peut-être un acteur comique, un comaste ou un silène. Objet supposé autrefois comme de manufacture corinthienne, identifié aujourd'hui comme une production grecque orientale, vers 600-550 av. J.-C. Provenance supposée : sanctuaire d'Aphrodite à Naucratis en Égypte.
