Description
English: Plaque at the place of the "poterne Barbette" (in French, a poterne was à gate opened through the wall of a town) of the Philippe Auguste wall. At the corner of the rue des Blancs-Manteaux and rue Vieille-du-Temple, on the wall of the market hall of the Blancs-Manteaux, Paris 4th arr.

C'est à proximité que Louis 1er duc d'Orléans et frère du roi, fut assassiné par Jean sans peur, déclenchant la guerre des armagnacs et des bourguignons.
