Description
English: Plaque about S.S. Kwinana on the Rockingham Waterfront Pioneer Rotary Walk in Rockingham, Western Australia. It reads:
S.S. Kwinana The State Government purchased "S.S. Darious" on 26th August 1912 and renamed her "S.S. Kwinana". She was used to transport cattle from the Northwest. After a series of mishaps she was towed to Careening Bay, Garden Island, to await her fate, but a northerly gale broke her moorings and on the 29th May 1922 she was washed ashore on the beach that now bears her name.
