Description
English: Plaque about Maude Clarissa Foxton on the Rockingham Waterfront Pioneer Rotary Walk in Rockingham, Western Australia. It reads, "Born in 1896, she arrived with the Group Settlement Scheme and settled in Wellard. To improve conditions for women and children she joined the Country Women Association (CWA), becoming the 1st President of the Peel Estate Branch. She established the Mothers Union through the Anglican Church at St Albans Hall and undertook home nursing courses. Maude went to Kalgoorlie and became State President of CWA 1950-53."
