Description
Français : Plaque commémorative, 7 rue Letort, Paris 18e.
« À Max Ch. A. Desmouceaux de Givray. C'est sur l'emplacement de cet immeuble que se trouvait l'atelier du mécanicien-serrurier Yvernel, où fut construit en 1883 l'auto-aqua, premier embryon du premier moteur à explosion automobile et du canot automobile de sauvetage et de plaisance inventé par Max Ch. A. Desmouceaux de Givray, essayé sur la Seine à Saint-Ouen en juillet 1883. Ce premier canot auto traversa trois fois la Seine, ayant à son bord l'inventeur et le mécanicien Yvernel, son collaborateur pour la construction. Souvenir de tous les Français au premier Français qui inventa et expérimenta l'auto-aqua. Président du comité de l'érection, Jean Baquesne, commandant des paquebots-poste CGT, chevalier de la Légion d'honneur. Paris, février 1914. Patras, sculpteur, Cannes (A.-M.). »
