Description |
English: Vertical image. Nestled amongst lush green leaves, a small metal plant information sign for the Creosote Bush can be seen in the lower right. It reads "This evergreen shrub can grow 3 to 6 feet tall. Its small, resinous leaves give off a strong creosote aroma, especially after rains. This frangrance is often called "the smell of rain" in the desert. Small yellow flowers appear following rains and are most abundant in the spring. The creosote fruit is a small, wooly ball which separates into five segments when mature." Plant information wayside discussing the Creosote bush.
