Plattegrond van Amsterdam in manuscript aangevuld met een waterbeheersingsplan door Anthonij Grave conform opdracht der burgermeesters en thesauriers van 16 oktober 1758. Water was van groot economisch belang voor Amsterdam, maar als gevolg van de slechte doorstroming was het water sterk vervuild. Dit kwam onder meer omdat de grachten als riool dienden.
