| Description | After removal of the old bridge, pile driving and abutment construction was the next step as part of the FHWA, Highways for LIFE project with Vtrans to replace the functionally obsolete two lane rural bridge, by using innovative technology. As seen here, the weathering steel girders were then placed between the abutments. This would be followed by forming of the deck, installation of studs, and tying of stainless steel deck reinforcement. |
