1957 Premio al mérito El edificio más alto que jamás haya sido expuesto a una enorme fuerza sísmica. LA TORRE LATINOAMERICANA Ha demostrado en forma impresionante el ingenio y la competencia de quienes planearon su construcción. Por su supervivencia al terremoto acaecido el 28 de julio de 1957 sin sufrir ni el más ligero daño, es mudo testigo de lo fuerte e integral que es la moderna construcción de acero.
