Eesti: Plaatinamünt pistetuna kuningvette
Käesolev foto on esimene seeriast kuidas plaatina reageerib kuningveega Plaatina reageerimisel kuningveega moodustub heksakloroplaatina(IV)hape H2PtCl6 . Seda ühendit kasutatakse teiste plaatinaühendite valmistamiseks, nagu ka antud juhul. Antud juhul viidi reaktsioon läbi 150-rublase 1978. a. Nõukogude Liidus Leningradi rahapajas vermitud Moskvas 1980. aastal toimunud XXII suveolümpiamängudele pühendatud meenemündiga. Sellised mündid on valmistatud 999-se prooviga plaatinast kaaluga 15,55 grammi (1/2 untsi puhast plaatina). 1. Plaatinamünt pistetuna külma kuningvette:
2. Sama protsess 10 minutit hiljem, kui kuningvesi on keema läinud.
3. 4 ööpäeva pärast on enamus plaatinast jõudnud ära reageerida
