Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The indigenous weavers of Sri Lanka have pursued their art in the villages of Kandy from ancient times. The weaving of cotton cloths was once universal in Kandyan villages. It is fascinating to watch the weaver at her loom, her feet in the pit in which they move the pedals. Several beautiful designs are produced, mostly geometric in nature.
