Description
Deutsch: Pirna: Hochwassermarke des Elbehochwassers von 1784. Die Inschrift lautet: „31. März 1784 ist die Elbe gegangen bis an diesen Strich“ (links unten erkennbar). Die von einer Putte gehaltene Markierung befindet sich am Haus Steinplatz Nr. 20 in einer Höhe von etwa 2,5 m über dem Fußweg. Die Inschrift ist (leider) seit der Jahrtausendflut 2002 weitgehend unleserlich.
English: Pirna: View on a high-water mark. The mark evoked on the Elbe-flood 1784. She is situated 2,5 m above ground.
