Description
Deutsch: Pirna-Sonnenstein: Gedenktafel für den Flugzeugkonstrukteur Brunolf Baade und Modell des ersten deutschen Passagierstrahlflugzeuges Typ 152 im Eingangsbereich des Helios Klinikum (Struppener Straße 13). Hier befand sich einst der VEB Entwicklungsbau Pirna, in dem ab Mitte der 1950er Jahre das Triebwerk Pirna 014 für den Typ 152 hergestellt wurde. Nachdem der Flugzeugbau 1961 eingestellt wurde firmierte das Werk als VEB Gasturbinenbau und Energiemaschinenentwicklung, später als VEB Strömungsmaschinen. Nach der Wende wurde die Produktion eingestellt und die Gebäudesubstanz weitgehend abgebrochen. Auf der Hauptfläche des Werkes befindet sich der 2007 eröffnete Neubau des Helios Klinikum Pirna. Am 15. März 2024, dem 120. Geburtstag von Brunolf Baade, erfolgte die Einweihung eines Erinnerungsortes. Dieser umfasst nebem dem Flugzeugmodell eine Informationstafel sowie eine Erinnerungstafel für Baade selbst. Die Tafel besteht aus einem Teil der Außenhaus eines Airbus, der von den Elbe Flugzeugwerken zu einer Frachtmaschine umgebaut wurde.
