Title
pipetamper
Description
English: Copper alloy furniture fitting, more accurately a coat hook, with multi-faceted head. Flat circular base, with a slight rivet and some iron staining on the underside. The base is 14mm in diamater. The multi-faceted head is basically square in section and plan, and is 9mm wide. The stem circular in section and gradually widens towards the base with a 'collar' 9mm from the base. The head is bent 90degrees.

Coat hooks of this style date to the later post-medieval and modern periods. See NARC-3B2E02 for a similar example.
