Description
English: Pipe bridge over the canal, Clay Mills, Staffordshire. The Trent and Mersey Canal took eleven years to construct and is 93.5 miles in length. It opened fully in 1777, though this section was ready seven years earlier. James Brindley was the engineer until his death in 1772.
