Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Pipe bridge at East Blackdene There are so many road bridges, footbridges and, above all, pipe bridges, over the River Wear that the paddling guidebooks don't list them all as landmarks. This one is fairly distinctive, having more than a single pipe, and multiple piers across the river, along with concrete aprons either side. The river left apron formed a convenient eddy for the photographer to be able to let go of his paddle and take this shot during a river trip in fairly high water.
