Description
Français : "La Jacob", pipe en terre, produite en grand nombre par les établissements Gambier au 19ème siècle, et représentant le patriarche biblique Jacob. Texte sur le turban : "Je suis le vrai Jacob", pour lutter contre les imitations. Outre le succès des têtes de vieillards et des têtes orientales comme motif pour les fourneaux de pipe, la longue barbe permettait au fumeur de tenir la pipe sans se brûler, d'où la popularité du modèle. Musée de la Pipe et du Diamant, à Saint-Claude.
