[edit]DescriptionPiosoma setosum LeConte - ZooKeys-245-001-g033.jpeg |
English: Piosoma setosum LeConte. Adults of this species are easily recognized by the presence of many, long and erect setae over the body, hence the specific name setosum. Prairie inhabitants, the first documented adults were found by John Lawrence LeConte during his expedition of 1845 which brought him along the Platte River up to Fort Laramie in Wyoming, thence to the foot of the Rocky Mountains. |
