Summary
[edit]DescriptionPioneer Zephyr brochure 1934.JPG | Brochure for the Pioneer Zephyr. This was said to have been given out at the Chicago "Century of Progress" World's Fair to those who toured the train. The flyer is die-cut and appears to be movable between the image of the steam locomotive and the Pioneer Zephyr. |
Date | No date is shown on the brochure. This would need to be circa 1934 as it would be the last year of the Chicago World's Fair and the year the Pioneer Zephyr made its debut. Since die-cut items have always been expensive to produce, it would seem to be correct in that it was distributed as a 1934 World's Fair handout. Don't think the railroad continued producing these after the Fair because of the expense involved, and that it would have been warranted to make a good showing at the fair. |
