Description Portland, Oregon's Pioneer Courthouse Square in December 2011, with Christmas tree in the center of the plaza – an annual tradition – and Santa House. In the background, MAX light rail trains are stopped at, or pulling away from, stations on both Morrison Street and 6th Avenue. The building in the center background is the historic Meier & Frank Building, now occupied by Macy's (since 2006) and "The Nines" hotel (since 2008), and at right is the Pioneer Courthouse.
