Description
English: Stock certificate of the Actien-Gesellschaft des Pilsner Badhauses (Pilsen Spa House Joint-Stock Company / Akcijní společnost plzeňských lázních) for 10 florins C.M., issued on 6 December 1834 in Pilsen. The spa house (today the Lochotín Pavilion) depicted on the share, with baths in both wings and a social hall in the central part, was built at the instigation of Martin Kopecký, who was mayor of Pilsen from 1828 to 1850. Count Karel Chotek, the highest burgrave of the Kingdom of Bohemia, also contributed to the purchase of the property in 1832. One year later, the spa was already in operation. However, the operation of the spa was not profitable, so the site was sold at auction in 1849 to the town brewery, which ran a restaurant and maintained the adjacent park. However, the operation of the spa was not profitable, which is why the site was sold at auction in 1849 to the city brewery, which ran a restaurant and maintained the adjacent park.
Deutsch: Aktie der Actien-Gesellschaft des Pilsner Badhauses über 10 Gulden C.M., ausgegeben am 6. Dezember 1834 in Pilsen.
