English: Pfc. Kayla L. Brinkerhoff, a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter repairer and crew chief with Company B, 2nd Battalion (Assault), 2nd Aviation Regiment, 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, and native of Logan, Utah, prepares to be flipped upside down during a water survival course held at a Republic of Korea naval base in Pohang, South Korea, Aug. 7. This training is essential to Brinkerhoff and her aviation counterparts here. “With us, especially being on the peninsula, we are flying over water quite frequently,” said Brinkerhoff. “It’s important we know what to do just in case something happens.” Water survival training, also known as Dunker training, is given regularly to aviation Soldiers and is mandatory.
