Description

Popular with hikers, climbers, and nature lovers alike, Pilot Rock in southern Oregon stands out as one of the most striking features of the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument.

This remnant of an ancient volcano is also known for its fossil sites featuring leaf impressions and conifer cones that were embedded in volcanic ash some 30 million years ago.
