English: Pillbox and ploughed field near The Grove, Brandiston Once these small fortifications (machine-gun emplacements) dotted East Anglia as part of the defences against an expected invasion during the Second World War. This is on a bend between Brandiston TG1321 and Little WitchinghamTG1120. The field behind was already ploughed by mid-August 2007. |
